The healthcare world changes, evolves, and develops. It has many sectors and angles, which is why it is something that continues to fascinate and drive us every day. Similar to the industry we all know and love, our team here at KNB is anything but one-dimensional.

Our monthly segment called #WeAreKNB gives you a closer look into who we are and allows you take a look at the faces behind the hard work of KNB Communications. A variety of different perspectives is an asset that we value, and we are excited to show you who we are and why we love what we do. We are individuals, we are a team, #WeAreKNB. Wanna keep up? Theresa Persico
is our Fall 2019 PR & marketing intern. Here are a few questions we asked her

Why KNB?

I have always had a passion for public relations and an interest in health communications. KNB is an empowering and pioneering company that offers the best of both worlds!

What new healthcare technology trends do you find the most interesting?

It’s not a secret that technology is always evolving. However, right now, I’m very interested in 3D Printing, which is used to produce physical objects from digital files. 3D printing has helped create personalized prosthetics, recreate damaged tissue through tissue engineering, and modify surgical tools to aid doctors with the incisions and implantation of medical devices. What’s even more interesting is that Copper3D is working with NASA Nebraska Space Grant to test the properties of its materials in space environments using antimicrobial 3D printed materials to create medical devices and tools to reduce microbial risks on space flight missions.

What kind of experience are you looking to get out of KNB?

At KNB, I’m hoping to learn more about healthcare technology and how it helps companies grow through targeted communications. I’m also hoping to gain more knowledge about digital marketing and public relations.

Why is marketing important to the health tech industry?

Marketing is important to the health tech industry because it builds trust and piques interest. This is because, in health tech, people are just as important as the product.

Who are some of your favorite celebrities that you follow on your personal social media accounts?

Some of my favorite celebrities that I follow on my social media accounts are Greta Thunberg, Slice n Rice, Chrissy Teigen, Quinn XCII, AJR, and Zendaya.
