  1. Why did you initially apply at KNB Communications?

I initially applied at KNB Communications because I am passionate about healthcare marketing + communications. When I started researching KNB Communications, I found the culture was exactly what I was looking for at this point in my professional career. I had gained knowledge and expertise throughout my marketing + communications career in healthcare and other industries. Still, I wanted to find like-minded people who had the same passions and values. I was incredibly excited to find this opportunity. I am honored this amazing group of people brought me in to be part of the team and lead the marketing department.
  2. What inspires you about healthcare communications?

Healthcare communications is inspiring because it affects the lives of billions. I am very passionate about access to care, cost of care, and medical advances. I am incredibly grateful I get to spend my days doing what I love with people who are also passionate about these issues. We are able to make a difference every day through our clients, and it is very fulfilling.
  3. Why did you decide to go into the healthcare industry?

The healthcare industry offered a different perspective to marketing + communications, and I immediately fell in love with it. The healthcare industry is always evolving, and I feel it requires more research and problem-solving, which I love. I have worked in other industries, but few of them offered the opportunity to actually help change the world. The healthcare industry expanded my knowledge and reignited my love for marketing + communications.
  4. Who has influenced you when it comes to how you approach your work?

My parents are incredibly hardworking and humble people. Personally, they have worked together for over 32 years to build a strong marriage and family. Professionally, they are successful in the traditional sense of the word, but they also hold themselves to a higher standard, which I deeply respect. My parents not only achieve their professional objectives and goals, but they also value integrity, perseverance and kindness. They are passionate about doing the right thing and going above and beyond. I admire them in every way, and I hope I am able to make them as proud - personally and professionally - as they have made me.
  5. What are your long-term goals?

My main long-term goal is to positively impact as many people as possible. I feel I can best achieve that by working hard to become Director of Marketing for Client Services at KNB Communications. I want to inspire and mentor the next generation of marketing professionals. I want to learn as much as possible about healthcare marketing + communications to give our clients the very best.
  6. What do you like most about KNB Communications so far?

I love the organizational culture at KNB Communications. KNB invests in its employees to be our best - personally and professionally. At KNB, we are all treated with kindness and respect, which motivates us. We collaborate, which makes us work smarter. We have a work-life balance, which makes us work harder. Most importantly, we are all passionate about helping people, which inspires us. I’m incredibly thankful to work with people who are kind, driven, collaborative, interesting, intelligent, compassionate, and hardworking. Because of these values, and the culture, KNB has worked so diligently to promote, my life - personally and professionally - has never been so fulfilling.
  7. What is the most interesting thing you have learned so far?

The most interesting thing I have learned so far is how much workplace culture can impact your personal and professional lives. I am surrounded by like-minded people who are supportive and encouraging. We are excited to work every day because KNB invests in its employees. It really motivates me to always go above and beyond for KNB because they have done that for me.
  8. What are your 15 minutes of fame?

I worked at a non-profit which provided pro bono legal services to abused and neglected children. We had an annual fundraiser to benefit the non-profit. I was in charge of the fundraiser, and we raised over $86,000 in one night, which was more than we had ever previously raised. I am also a six-time national champion cheerleader!
