The right person for this role will come up with fantastic marketing plans and then pull off on-time production and execution of said plans. Then, they’ll document wins and report on success so quantitatively and so beautifully that clients will be downright delighted. 

Roles + responsibilities

As the Marketing Services Director you will:

  • Lead the marketing services team from a position of experience and expertise in healthcare.

  • Offer recommendations based on previously successful programs.

  • Cross-functional leadership across marketing and client services

  • Strategically develop and execute innovative and measurable digital marketing campaigns that have a meaningful impact on the clients’ success.

  • Develop and manage end-to-end, scalable social media campaigns.

  • Create concept, content, and design for relevant marketing campaigns.

  • Support account teams to help create an integrated and measurable communications program for customers.

  • Provide advice to clients on paid digital advertising and effectively implement it.

  • Support clients with initiatives such as website design and development, traffic, etc.

  • Learn about clients and competitors; conduct industry research; work with partners to track coverage and disseminate it to the team.

  • Actively follow trends relative to social engagement in the industry and communicate them throughout the organization. Innovate new tactics based on trends in the industry and audiences to quickly adjust based on results.

  • Stay up-to-date on best practices for social and digital, as well as the implementation of appropriate analytics tools (marketing automation and CRM) to facilitate analysis and metrics reporting.

  • Learn analytic tools used by the firm —HubSpot, content distribution services, project management tools, online surveys, media monitoring, ROI, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in marketing from a four-year college or university required

  • Seven to ten years minimum related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • Marketing campaign and program development experience, social media management, Google Analytics and Ads certifications, SEO, and content generation

  • Understands complex healthcare domains, competitive landscapes, and varied audiences

  • HubSpot certifications – Inbound, Email, Content

We understand no candidate checks every single box. That’s why we’ve divided our experience requirements  list into “must-haves” and “nice to have.”

 

Must-have:

  • Experience in marketing for healthcare technology or life sciences companies and/or an agency that serves this market

  • Familiarity with audience engagement metrics across platforms (Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.) and an ability to translate them into actionable data.

  • Client-facing experience and confidence to present to customers

  • Email marketing and ability to create and design workflows

  • Craft client messaging to tell a story
    Develop and repurpose content to generate engagement

 

Nice to have:

  • Website management and page creation

  • Experience with search engine optimization practices

  • Basic HTML or equivalent web language

  • Video creation, editing, and production

  • Managed or supported Twitter chats
    Muck Rack / Cision / Meltwater media monitoring software

  • Sprout social media management software

  • PR industry background
