#WeAreKNB series: spring interns

Table of contents

The “We are KNB” series gives you a peek behind the curtain to understand what makes our band of healthcare communications experts tick. We ask them about their motivations and goals as well as some personal questions.

This month we would like to highlight our spring interns, Julia Eline-Wright, and Caroline Quinn.

Julia

My name is Julia, and I am a senior marketing student at UMass Amherst. Outside of my academics, I am an avid podcast listener. I currently enjoy the Huberman Lab with Dr. Andrew Huberman and Manifest with Tori DeSimone. In addition to advancing in my professional career, I also plan on developing my personal brand through my YouTube Channel and budding Health and Wellness Podcast. I hope to inspire and motivate an audience with similar interests.

What inspired you to intern for KNB, and enter the field of healthcare marketing?

I have always been interested in the healthcare industry but did not know how to get involved from a marketing standpoint, so when I learned of the internship position from a friend and former intern, I knew I could not pass it up. I also chose KNB because of the closeness and community between team members, which I value immensely.

What do you hope to gain from your experience with KNB?

I have already and will continue gaining knowledge from the KNB professionals with whom I am very lucky to work alongside. I am looking forward to picking the brains of team members and learning from their experiences.

What is one piece of advice you would give your younger self?

Fake it until you make it! I may not always be 100% confident in what I am doing, but by changing my mindset and acting with positivity I always make it further than I originally anticipated.

Choose one song to represent your life in 2023. What song, and why?

The song I want to represent my life in 2023 is Flowers by Miley Cyrus. To me, this song represents self-love and growth in all aspects, which are some of the intentions I have set for myself in the new year.

Caroline

My name is Caroline Quinn, and I am a communications and management student at Boston College. I have previous PR experience and am excited to work with the KNB team this semester. Outside of academics, I enjoy journalism, reading, and staying active. I also love to cook.

What inspired you to intern for KNB, and enter the field of healthcare marketing?

I was looking for more experience before I graduate this Spring and landed on the KNB posting. After researching the company, I was impressed with their work and thought that healthcare marketing was something I knew little about, but would be interested in learning.

What do you hope to gain from your experience with KNB?

I hope to continue discovering the ins and outs of PR and marketing. The team has been incredibly welcoming, and I am confident I am getting to learn from the best.

What is one piece of advice you would give your younger self?

Stop worrying! I tend to overthink even the little things, but it is almost always for no good reason.

Choose one song to represent your life in 2023. What song, and why?

It has always been a dream of mine to move to NYC after graduation, so fingers crossed that Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys will represent my life in 2023.
